A Letter from MYL President Jeff Dill
Hello Everyone, I just wanted to send a quick note as our season officially ended last weekend with our boys select teams coming home from the Bothell tourney.
We had many hurdles this year girls and boys and cannot THANK our many fine volunteer coach’s for there hard work and commitment to the kids this season it was really fun to be a part of. From 1st graders all they way up to 8th the commitment on Instruction, fun, and loving the game was 1st and far most the key ingredient to MYL’s success.
The landscape of youth lacrosse is exploding and most likely we all will continue to see changes, continued growth, and most likely heading into the direction of each H.S. having under it a youth program to help run, monitor, and most importantly the necessary help needed in giving ALL the girls and boys the best experince possible.
We had almost 300 kids playing this year many of whom first year and sincerely hope too see you all again next year.
Our relationship with the fine folks at RHINO is strong and we will continue to work on making it better and letting them guide our parent coach’s throughout the year. It is unrealistic to think Ryan Powell, Brian Silcott or Winne Lobell can be at all our events. But, having them driving this effort with continued classroom education and availability at the weekly clinics made being powered by them just that very powerful and HUGELY fun for the kids.
Again THANKS so much to ALL that helped throughout the season and hope to see you on the field or perhaps at the MLL game on Aug. 9th.
